The rating shows the energy efficiency of the Buderus Logatherm WSW196i.2-12 TP50 and Logalux SH290 RS-B heat pumps used in conjunction with the Logamatic BC400 system control unit. The rating can potentially deviate, depending on the components or the output.

ηs up to 161% (B0/W55)
thanks to new modulating compressor, which compresses the refrigerant and brings it up to a higher temperature.

Logamatic BC400 system control unit
controls the heating circuit and domestic hot water heating via an illuminated colour touch screen with plain text display.

Integrated DHW cylinder
is built in to the heat pump to save space and has a capacity of 180 litres.

Integrated heater rod
can, if desired, support the heat pump in heating mode. Power rating is 9 kW.

Cooling circuit

Overview: Product.

Technology in detail:

Even on closer inspection, the Logatherm WSW196i(T) stands out from the crowd with its thoughtfully designed inner workings and efficiently synchronised technical elements.

Overview: Variants.

Logatherm WSW196i

The small variant without integrated DHW cylinder is particularly compact and quiet. It is flexible, and can be upgraded to a heat pump unit by adding a buffer cylinder.

Overview: Variants.

Logatherm WSW196i T180 as a heat pump unit.

The Titanium edition of the Logatherm WSW196i T180 with its integrated DHW cylinder (180 litre storage capacity) is still very compact, meaning it can even be set up in small rooms in the house.

Overview: Variants.

Logatherm WSW196i TP50 with buffer cylinder.

The heat pump is also available with an added buffer cylinder. This is neatly concealed behind the casing in the Titanium design. Pipes and valves can be covered with pipe casing. This variant also saves space wherever it is installed, making room for other fixtures or fittings.

Overview: Variants.

Logatherm WSW196i(T) with adjacent DHW cylinder.

For even greater DHW convenience function, there's the option of an adjacent DHW cylinder – also in the Titanium design. The heat pump can be operated with or without a 50-litre buffer cylinder, as required. The tank can be positioned on the WSW196i heat pump upon request. But adjacent buffer cylinders can also be used.

Overview: Variants.

Logatherm WSW186i(T)

The Logatherm WSW186i(T) in its premium metal casing is identical to the Logatherm WSW196i(T) in terms of output size, refrigeration circuit and product variants. It does, however, differ in terms of design (white metal), it also has a lower price and fewer packages, and does not come with the MX300 wireless module as standard.

Application: Flexibility.

Excellent flexibility. Low space requirement.

Its modular design options mean that transportation and on-site installation are made simple thanks to the removable refrigeration circuit. It can even be conveniently installed on smaller installation surfaces and is designed to save space.

Boreholes: General.

The power lies in the earth.

The energy in the earth is either harnessed with geothermal-water heat pumps via geothermal probes, which are inserted into the ground through a drilled hole, or via geothermal collectors laid close to the surface. This is how heat is extracted from the earth and fed into the heating circuit. The geothermal-water heat pump itself is installed in the building.

With geothermal heat probe.
A borehole saves space and, due to the depth, also supplies constant energy, even in winter. Boreholes should be planned and carried out by an expert.

With near-surface geothermal collectors.
Alternatively, the heat source can also be laid horizontally; this does require a larger free area, however.

Boreholes: General.

Heating in winter, cooling in summer.

The requirement for cool rooms in summer is becoming increasingly more important for living comfort. It's a good thing that the Logatherm WSW196i(T) is also able to cool rooms using the passive cooling station PKS9 (availability scheduled from end of 2021) in combination with underfloor or wall heating (geothermal drilling required).

Boreholes: Die Erdwärmebohrer.

Die Erdwärmebohrer.

We recommend carrying out the planning and organisation in collaboration with the specialist company “Die Erdwärmebohrer”. The feasibility testing and choice of the right heat source are of highest standard. This means the heat source and building are perfectly coordinated with each other.

System: Expandability.

Future-proof thanks to modular expandability.

  • The Logatherm WSW196i(T) can be expanded by adding heat generators, an integrated or adjacent 300‑litre DHW cylinder or by installing an extra buffer cylinder
  • High compatibility and standard integrated components, e.g. diverter valve, primary and secondary pumps

Combining with a photovoltaic system to cover part of the required heat pump and household electricity.

A Logafloor nubbed system is an ideal addition to the system, and is particularly economical in combination with renewable energies.

System: Expandability.

Excellent DHW convenience function.

  • Diversity for every individual requirement for correct water supply
  • Choice of different DHW cylinders from the Logalux SH range
  • Option to integrate buffer cylinders with freshwater station (from end of 2021)

System: Blue Planet.

For the future of the blue planet.

Heat pumps that preserve resources.
When it comes to sustainable heating system technology, nothing beats heat pumps. This is because they generate heat from entirely renewable resources: from the air, earth or water. As system experts, we can also integrate them into hybrid systems to seize other environmentally friendly opportunities.
